No, no, no... thats the junk drawer. Or, if you live out here, a barn. :-)
A button box is where you store amazing buttons that may or may not ever come in handy but are very fun to dig through anyway, as well as normal buttons, which will.

Once again, your pictures amaze me.

Garages work well, too.

---can I BE right minded and be right handed? I thought THAT only left handers could do that......

How could a left-hander be right-handed? Right-minded perhaps (it's a possibilty I suppose, most of the left-handed people I know are insane.) :D

A person can be both right-handed and left-handed.

I think they call that bi-lingual.

Thanks, Loz. :-)

I think that to provide background to Mybelovedismine's comment I should repeat a pun. This pains me, of course. But all blame for the pun should be directed at Diah, who told it to me. As nearly as I can remember, here goes:
It is a proven scientific fact that when you use one side of your body, it uses the other side of your brain. Therefore, when you use your right hand, you're using the left side of your brain, and vice versa. This means, of course, that if you're left handed you're usually in your right mind.

*winces at evil pun*

Going in the other direction, this would also mean that if you're right handed that you're usually in your wrong mind.

However, while i'm thinking in my right mind, the pictures are pretty interesting.

The punch line was "only left-handed people are always in thier "right" mind"

Button boxes are awsome!
My grand-mother is an extremly frugal woman, if ever she wore something out, the buttons automatically come off before disposal, her button "tin" is cram full of all kinds of buttons, some that you couldn't find in a store if you tried!!

Some of the buttons are pretty cool, Natalie.
My mom went to Garage sales and just stuffed bags full of colthes, and then she cut all the buttons off. She only paid a dollar for each bag full. We have a bunch now.

You take pictures really well Natalie! I like the two buttons that look like diamonds. They are really pretty.
"My grand-mother is an extremly frugal woman,"
I think Diah that most woman must be "frugal"
My mom does the same thing your grandma does.

Thanks Loz and Lauren! :o)

Thanks for the correction, Diah.
The unique buttons you can't get at the store are the best!

Treasure hunting in the buttons is a lot of fun... I liked that one too, Deborah, it reminded me of Roman Legions, probably because of the Rosemary Sutcliff books I've read.

Thanks Daisy, Rebekah, Mrs. W, and JFC. :-)

Lysha- yes, buttons are great. One of these days I'm going to have to find a project for some of these unique buttons. Any ideas, anyone?

Butterfly- thanks for flitting by.

Well, then. Jedediah must be the exception that proves the rule! :)

Mybelovedismine, home made canned spinach would NOT be acceptable. Thank you just the same for your kind and solicitous and thoughtful idea.

Zech, delete that post! No one would get it any ways.

I was talking about the pun.

natalie said...

Zech, post things that make sense, and post under your own name, please.

Loz- are you saying that you like the pun? Don't you know that puns are EVIL? ;-)

Thanks! I use the Canon PowerShot A520. I've been very happy with the pictures I've gotten from it, but if you're camera shopping its only fair to let you know I've had to send it in for maintenance since I got it last year. However, Canon's customer service was excellent and they fixed it without any charge to me.
