As of Today...

... I've decided to travel Siberia on the back of Clydesdales.

That sounds like an ambition derived from reading G A Henty while watching Budweiser commercials on TV.

Or ... am I, in my ignorance of great literature, unaware of a profound literary reference that went "whoosh" and sped right over my head?

;) Have fun on the trip.

... or the Antarctic behind huskies? Yeah. Wouldn't it be great? Or on a one-horse open sleigh?

did your brothers come up with any good april fools jokes? :)

JFC- LOL. No great literary allusion. Just my April Fools announcement of the year.
Chiefbiscuit- I like the sleigh idea. Probably a lot more comfortable than horseback!
Deborah- you disapprove of my modest, conservative, normal plans? ;-)
Kailey- tragically, no. So I had to take up the slack and announce my departure on horseback instead. :-)

pink fur? I thought they were no longer communists over there ...

Nooooooooo pink fur! I refuse to wear pink fur! Never!

And I won't wear that mink stole you threatened to buy me at the flea market either! So there. ;-)

What about black and white fur (skunk).

As the young skunk said:

It's very civilized, I guess,
To dress in fancy clothes;
Some folks may overdo it, but
That's human I suppose.
But what I saw the other day
Just made my poor heart grieve:
I saw a lady's fur coat with
My uncle on her sleeve

Gee, it's tough to be a skunk
Gee, it's tough to be a skunk
No doubt, I'll end up someday
Like my dear-departed unc.

LOL, JFC.

Mybelovedismine- Ack! that hat! Now, just because I own a pointy topped fur hat is no reason to spread the word!

natalie said...

You're right I wouldn't... It was probably just playing dead. ;-)

Your right natalie. It probably was just playing dead.

Thanks for your support, Rebekah. :-)

Besides, Mybelovedismine, "magnificent" is not the word I would have chosen. I'm not opposed to fur, but that fur...oh my.

HEY! What happened to my Russian font?

I'd say it was probably just playing dead, and I wouldn't put it on either, Natalie. The suggestion was just plain gross. What kind of animal was it anyway? Not a skunk I hope. That would sure stink.

I can not stand that kind of fur either Natalie.

Come on, Daisy. Be nice!

The skunk part was just a joke. That was just the worst kind of animal I could think of at the time. My brother wants me to wear a possum and my pet cat's skin. Maybe that is even worse.

Mybelovedismine, maybe you should wear the animal skin. It might suit you better.

Daisy- it was a mink. And no, you shouldn't wear a possum skin, I don't think. :-o
Yes, Mybelovedismine should definitely wear the mink! And a certain fur hat too... :-D

What kind of mink is it, American(Mustela vison) or European(Mustela lutreola)?

For the curious (about what the difference is), here are two links to pictures of the different kinds of mustela(mink).

American(Mustela vison)
European(Mustela lutreola)
